Bob Asp Park
The City of Hawley and the Hawley Park Board invite you to check out the changes made to Bob Asp Park.
A permanent brick monument has been constructed on the site of the old potato warehouse where Bob Asp's dream of building a Viking ship came true. The plaques on the monument highlight the "Hjemkomst's" construction and journey to Norway. We encourage you to come take a look! Summer of 2005 will see the addition of a metal ship replica to the monument.
The bricks for the monument were donated by Hebron Brick, the concrete was donated by Aggregate Industries and a portion of the labor was donated by Larry & Elsie Quam, Ron & Deanna Ulven and the Clay County Blandin Alumni Group.
Donations to the Bob Asp Park project can be made at City Hall.
